Outsourcing at it’s worst
June 17th, 2009Anyone reading this needs to be aware of a very bad company. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! It’s QBit Systems out of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. They are not in the business of doing legitimate work. They are in the business of getting your banking information. BEWARE! Also, be careful with the contracts that you make even if it’s through a third party like eLance or Rent a Coder. Elance knew that QBit was getting kicked off their site because of foul play but they continued to let me negotiate with them and award them my job. I see a lawsuit in my future. Please send comments if you’ve had similar experience.

March 6th, 2009Outsourcing has it’s ups and it’s downs. If all goes well, I’ll be a genius. But…..hey, I didn’t like that font anyway. How do they get the font wrong when it’s right there in the AI file? I do believe in a global economy. We can’t stop it. It will happen. It’s really already there just broken. It’s hard enough to communicate with a person that is in the same room as you and you perhaps love them. Now try communicating half way around the world and invent new technology while you’re doing it. Wow! What a ride. I’m not getting much sleep. It will be worth it. We’re going to be the kings of audio!
iPhone app
February 5th, 2009It’s interesting, this new learning curve called outsourcing! I’ve been bidding this iPhone app for about a week and a half. We’ve had 30 companies from all over the world make bids. They are so diverse. The cool thing is, they all have questions which has helped me focus and drill down to very good specs. I’ve got to outline milestones today (ugh!) and should have someone building it by tonight. Stand by sports fans!

February 2nd, 2009Here we go! The year 2009 is upon us and we are going to make history this year. UYA has been a long time coming. We’re just finishing up our bidding on the web design. The graphics are almost done. Massive amounts of sound files are being catalogued. I’ll keep you posted on our progress.
